Bird Song

My next door neighbor LOVES garden birds!
Yesterday he told me that since we all started staying at home the birds have been having a fantastic time enjoying all the empty streets and play parks.
So open up your window or go outside and have a listen to the beautiful bird song!
Visit the RSPB website to hear the different songs of many of the common birds that we have in London;

Maybe when you listen out of your window you will recognise some?
Let me know what you hear in the comments box below.

    1. Dear Buddy,

I'm well and enjoying the sunshine streaming through my window! I'm really looking forward to my walk in the park later.

You heard lots of different birds - I'm impressed. Do you leave food out for them? Do you think there have been more birds near your house since we all started staying at home?

      Have a great weekend!

    2. Dear dear Mrs Binnie,

I don't feed the birds but thanks for the idea. Do you feed the birds in your garden? And yes, probably.
I hope I hear more from you soon

    3. Hi Buddy,

Good to hear from you too! I don't feed the birds in my garden but I have made a little pond for them to have a drink and a wash in out of an old bucket that I've sunk into the ground.

I think there has been more birds on my street since lock down but I'm not sure what kind they are. I think I have to have another look at the RSPB website.

    1. Morning Zayd,

Some times there is a wood pigeon that sits in the tree opposite my window. It makes a coo- coo- cooing noise which sometimes wakes me up!

Have you ever seen a robin before?

  3. The birds songs sound like a crying and whisteling.

I think the birds songs are different from each other because of the length some have got long sounds and others short sound.

    No it's different.

    No

    1. Morning Vinda,

Great observations! Sometimes when I'm having a walk in the park it almost sounds like music rather than bird song because they're so loud - it's like you said - that they sound like they're whistling!

I normally see the green finch every day.

    1. Excellent! Do you think you have seen more birds since we all started staying at home Lanesra?

I definitely think the squirrels in the park are getting braver!
