I hope you all had a good weekend Year 2. This weekend I planted some sunflower seeds into a pot on my window cill. I'm hoping that they grow taller than me like this girls one;
Have you grown anything at home whilst we've not been at school?
Have you ever grown a sunflower before?
Do you have any advice for me to help my sunflower grow strong and tall?

Not sure last one went through as he tried doing it from my phone and it didn't do the normal thing!
ReplyDeleteI am growing radishes, forget me nots, chili plant, basil plant, carrots, sunflowers and snapdragons
Make sure you check underneath and the sides of your sunflower pots for slugs and snails everyday and flick them off or they will eat your sunflowers
Hmmmm, I think the first one didn't work but luckily this one did!
ReplyDeleteWow! You're growing so many different plants Buddy. What does a snap dragon plant look like? Is it a flower or a vegtable? It sounds like an exciting character from an adventure story!
Thanks for the top tip about slugs and snails - once they're outside I'll keep my eyes peeled for any hungry lurkers!

My advice is that you need to put sunflowers seeds in a pot, add some water and leave in the place where can catch sun to help grow healthy and strong.
ReplyDeleteGreat advice Vinda!
DeleteI have been watering the seeds everyday so fingers crossed they'll start growing soon!

We would like to but unfortunately we don’t have enough space to do that.
ReplyDeleteMaybe we could plant some in our edible playground when we go back to school or I could bring some of my spare seedlings that we could plant outside infront of the school?
DeleteWhat do you think Vinda?
